Broken Souls (A Runes Universe Novella)
Dive right on in to the Runes Universe. Jennifer Malone Wright gives us her own perception of Ednah Walters world, and brings us two main characters who are intertwined together in ways even they didn't know at first, but it always served a purpose.
Ivy has strong views against the immortals, and it's not something I can blame her for. Then she meets Dustin, and together they open each others eyes to the supernatural world, learning that everything isn't always what it seems.
I love the character growth we see in Ivy and Dustin, and how it isn't instalove, but something they have to work for to gain and grow. I really enjoyed the way the author handled her stance on grieving, and how the main character overcomes it, and is able to see the full picture in the end, rather than keeping her distorted image she clutched to.
While this was a quick read, I was entranced in it, and couldn't have hoped for more. I will definitely be recommending this to a friend, and advising them to grab all both authors books
